Hi,
Did you get the latest version of StripTool from the APS website?
Everything compiles okay for us under Fedora Core2 but there is a
channel access bug in R3.14.5 that crashes StripTool at run time.
The bug has been fix in the upstream R3.14 branch.
Send me a snippet of your compile error message.
