Hi All,
If anyone has any experience with the EtherIP driver, I was wondering
if they have run across the same problem I have described below. I am
using it with a r3.13 release of EPICS, mv177 front-end, HPUX 11
back-end.
The EtherIP driver is installed and appears to be talking correctly
across the ethernet to an Allen Bradley Logix555 PLC. I am reading and
writing DINT's, but the rather simple operation of writing a "0" to a
BOOL tag does not seem to be working. It's tied to a choice button
through
MEDM (also tried a momentary button, and even a "dbpf" from the command
prompt). On the other hand, it's writes a "1" fine. Has anyone
experienced
this and/or know what the "fix" is?
On a related note, has anyone thought about expanding the driver to
also talk to program tags? Our engineers are really interested in that
functionality.
Thanks!
