You might like to consider switching to the TMPC810 this is also a two channel CAN bus controller based on the Philips SJA1000. This same chip is used on the TIP810 for which EPICS support exists. All I did was replace the Industry Pack layer with a pci layer and leave the rest of the EPICS source code intact (well almost). If you plan to use it on an Intel x86 VxWorks system a small modification needs to be made to the BSP. A MMU mapping entry for the TPMC810 or TMPC816 must be made prior to MMU initialization. If anyone would like the source code please ask. Graham J. Frederick Bartlett wrote: Has anyone developed device and (I presume) driver support for the TEWS TPMC816 Extended CANBUS PMC module? Is anyone interested or considering this device? -- +---------------------------------------------------------------------+ |Graham Waters, Control System Eng phone: (604)-222-1047 ext 6531 | |TRIUMF --- University of B.C, Fax: (604)-222-7307 | |Vancouver, BC, Canada e-mail: [email protected] | | | |http://isacwserv.triumf.ca/edevel/homepage/graham01.html | +---------------------------------------------------------------------+
