As would be expected, the time required to produce an RTEMS BSP depends 
upon the existence of a BSP for similar processors/devices.  For 
example, I was able to modify the ColdFire MCF5272 BSP to work on an 
MCF5282 in a couple of weeks.  I was starting from a good existing base 
and I had a pretty good idea of the hardware's operation.   I would 
think that a four month development would be reasonable for a 
board/architecture for which there was no similar BSP and for which you 
had no prior experience.
