Maybe, but then I end up duplicating all the documentation
for all the webservers out there.
The manual now contains a section
Data Server - Testing, Debugging
which includes the
telnet my_web_server_host 80
GET /archive/cgi/ArchiveDataServer.cgi HTTP/1.0<RETURN>
