Cosylab have released a new version of VisualDCT (build 1271), which is
now available for download on their website:
http://www.cosylab.com/visualdct/builds/VisualDCT/

Summary of new features and bug fixes
*************************************
- Command line help with the --help / -h option
- Enhanced support for manual wire positioning
- Ability to create links on both sides of a field
- Automatic highlighting of the record currently being viewed in the
Inspector
- Template instance morphing
- Improved printing
- Automatic 'save' prompt when traversing hierarchies
- Ability to import borders
- New 'system clipboard' to allow copy and paste between VDCT windows
- Improved wire routing
- Ability to magnify individual records when on small zoom
- Support for a user-specified include path for locating dbd files
- Fixed problem with the type search
- Fixed various copy / paste issues
- Fixed a number of graphical display problems

A complete list of the work done can be found in the release notes for
the build:

Known problems
**************
- A bug in older versions of the JVM means that using 'click and drag'
to select multiple objects in Linux doesn't work. This has been verified
to work correctly with the latest build (1.5.0_05)
- It is not currently possible to connect a link to a link field (to
support retargetable links)
- Wires sometimes appear longer than they need to be

What next...
************
We are actively planning the next phase of development, which might
include:

- Enhancements to the debug plug-in
- Integration with Eclipse, possibly using the Graphical Editing
Framework (GEF)
- A spreadsheet mode of editing
- Relational database integration
