As Ernest said, this isn't the end of the MVME6100, just some particular model(s) of it. There will be replacements that may look a bit different but they will be functionally identical as far as the software is concerned. You *always* have to read Motorola End Of Life notices very carefully, because they almost never mean "we're stopping all manufacture of all models of this board." The MVME147 went through about 5 or 6 different incarnations in its lifetime, moving from discrete chips to ASICs and through-hole to surface-mount construction, but in all cases the replacement models were completely software compatible with the older model. There are customers for whom the physical appearance and construction of the board matters (they may use photographs or diagrams in the maintenance manuals that they have to keep up to date), but this isn't usually the case for EPICS users. - Andrew -- Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted. -- Albert Einstein
