The vxWorks-mvme5500 target architecture is not one that ships with EPICS
Base. Can you try building and using the vxWorks-ppc604_long architecture
instead (which is the official target for that processor) and see if the
problem still occurs? If not, you'll have to post the configuration files
you're using for that target (base/configure/os/*vxWorks-mvme5500*) for me to
help any further.
