I would like to save the values of a set of PVs (once per scan). I understand that [extraPV] is the relevant section of saveData.req to use. Further, I would like to save this same set of PVs for multiple independant instances of the sscan record running on different IOCs. (This set of PVs set would provide useful information on beamline and storage ring state.)
It would be good to avoid maintaining this set of PVs in two or more files. In the [extraPV] section of the saveData.req file, is it possible to reference another file (for single point of maintenance)? (I noticed that autosave req files support this syntax).
For example,
In saveData.req on IOC #1:
...
[extraPV]
file common_pvs.req
...
In saveData.req on IOC #2:
...
[extraPV]
file common_pvs.req
...
In separate file common_pvs.req:
# List of PVs to save once per scan
SOME:PV1
SOME:PV2
SOME:PV3
Is this or a similar syntax available?
Thanks in advance,
