Hmm, I think I saw something like this when I forgot to run following
commands inside the $EDMDATAFILES/prefs:

for f in $EPICS_TOPDIR/extensions/lib/linux-x86_64/lib*.so; do
$EPICS_TOPDIR/extensions/bin/linux-x86_64/edm -addpv $f; done
for f in $EPICS_TOPDIR/extensions/lib/linux-x86_64/lib*.so; do
$EPICS_TOPDIR/extensions/bin/linux-x86_64/edm -add $f; done
