I've updated "my" web page, it now links to SourceForge, has repository
info, and also links to the current release notes.

I agree that the default SD pages are not very helpful.
For other projects on SourceForge, like http://cs-studio.sourceforge.net/
and http://epicschanarch.sourceforge.net/, we have a minimal custom SF
project page that mostly links to a trac wiki on SF.
To me, such a wiki seems the best place for project information because all
contributors can extend/update.
