I've put together an asynOctet driver to communicate with USB devices conforming to the USBTMC protocol.Preliminary version that needs more testing and likely lots of changes, but does work on OS X and linux with a couple of different simple devices.
Here's the README: EPICS ASYN support for USB TMC (Test and Measurement Class) devices =============================================================================== Latest version available at: 1) "Universal Serial Bus Test and Measurement Class Specification (USBTMC)", 2) "Universal Serial Bus Test and Measurement Class, Subclass USB488 Specification (USBTMC-USB488)", Revision 1.0. For best results use version 16 or higher.
