Record processing during iocInit?

Hi,

I have a problem of understanding the initialization of databaserecords during 
iocInit. If I set the field PINI to YES, i would expect accordng to the 
documentation, that the record gets processed once during iocInit. But it dos 
not as a call to dbpr with the record name gives SEVR: Invalid.
Only after triggering the record with dbtr the revcord gets processed.
I'm using EPICS base 3.14.12.4 on an arm Platform. But I have seen the same 
behaviour on an x86_64 machine.
Is my understanding of the documentation wrong, or do I need additional fields 
to be set to get the record processed during init?
