Folks,
mca R7-6 is now available.
This is from the release notes:
- Added support for SIS3820 firmware version 0x0111. This firmware provides control over the LNE pulse output signal:
- Programmable pulse polarity, Normal and Inverted.
- Programmable pulse width, from 20 ns to 85.9 seconds in 20 ns increments.
- Programmable pulse delay, from 0 to 85.9 seconds in 20 ns increments.
Being able to program these pulse parameters means that the SIS3820 can now be used to directly trigger or gate most detectors without using external pulse inverter or pulse stretcher hardware.
- Added a function, sis3820_jtag_prom_epics() to load new firmware into the SIS3820 over the VME bus rather than having to use a USB JTAG programmer. This function should work on vxWorks, RTEMS, and Linux, but it has only been tested on vxWorks. The latest version 0x0111 firmware file is included in the distribution or can be downloaded from the SIS S8320 firmware Web site
- Fixed a bug in the mcaRecord on some 64-bit architectures. The ROI calculations were incorrect because "long" was being used where epicsInt32 was needed.
