Hi,

A bit of off topic, but we are trying to use a CAEN SY4527 to replace our old aging LeCroy 1458 at STAR Experiment at Brookhaven National Lab. So far, everything is working out very well with the built-in EPICS IOC in the CAEN SY4527 that we have. We have one question to anybody who have an experience or idea on what to do about it.

Turns out, since there are two high voltage settings available on a CAEN SY4527; v0set and v1set. As far as we can tell, which is being used it determined by VSEL input value on the CAEN SY4527. We know that can be switched via NIM signal on the crate. The question is that is there any other way to switch from v0set to v1set? In other words, is there a register that can be read and written that will allow us to change one set of voltage to another, preferably via EPICS?

As far as I can tell, the older CAEN crates such as SY2527s do the same thing; I see the exact same entry on the manual for SY4527 and SY2527. So, if anybody who uses older CAEN HV systems who knows anything of it, I really appreciate the information.
