Hello,
to me the beauty of the s7nodave device support is that you neither need
TIA nor any modifications on your PLC.
We use s7nodave to access S7 300 PLCs which have been programmed by a
3rd party and which we don't even have the TIA files for.
I have no experience with the 3.15 series of EPICS base, but with
R3.14.12 I could make s7nodave work as described in [1]. Also notice the
hints concerning S7 300 PLCs given on that page.

Hello!
I am new in EPICS world and I am having some problems with my project.
I would like to communicate a S7 300 PLC with EPICS and I have read
that this is possible with the s7nodave driver. I have installed EPICS
Base 3.15.1 in Ubuntu 12.04.5 and CSS Boy 3.2.11 and MEDM 3.1.9 but I
have some questions.
How I need to install the s7nodave driver? I have installed TIA Portal
in Windows, do I need to install EPICS in Windows or TIA Portal in
Ubuntu?
Thank you very much for your help!
