Hi,
We would love to try your existing driver; can you share your code with us?
One of our developers here at SLAC can work with you and the maintainers of IPAC.
I hope that we can get the support for RTEMS (or OSI even) back upstream to a future release of the IPAC EPICS Module. :)
Cheers,
Ernest

Subject: Re: RTEMS Support in IPAC 2.14 for Acromag IP520?
Hi,
We have several IP521 on AVME-9668 IP carrier, running RTEMS.
First I tried a modified version of tyGSOctal driver, but it does not
work well. When there are many IP module trying to send data at the same
time (in our case, 32 power supply), the communication fails from time
to time. It's because the driver have to enter interrupt handler every
time to write a byte, and this introduce some latency by VME bus access.
Our workaround was to write an asynPortDriver that do direct registers
access and release the mutex when a complete message was sent. Maybe a
better OSI solution could be sub-classing asynPortDriver and utilizing
the FIFO?
