Info on reading Sensus AMR UI-1203 protocol?

I'm wondering if anyone has done anything with the Sensus AMR UI-1203 
protocol and EPICS? This is used in residential water, gas, and electric 
meters so that the utility company can determine the customer's usage.
My work on the EPICS-based beer brewing system that some of you saw at 
the last ORNL EPICS meeting caught the attention of a brand new 
micro-distillery that is opening in the suburbs. So I'm working with 
them to automate their operation using EPICS. In this particular case, 
they need to measure out a specific volume of water to mix with grain. 
I'm considering using a Sensus water meter along with an actuated 
solenoid valve to do this.
