I am working on an IOC for a device that has its control interface through telnet. The problem is there is a welcome message that appears once every time I connect to the device using any telnet interface. The welcome message is in this
form:
Hello world command shell
Type ‘?’ for help
>
And then I have to send “scpi>” in order to start the SCPI mode. Is it possible to ignore this one-time message and send “scpi>” just once in StreamDevice?
Have you tried a global @init handler? The documentation [1] seems to suggest that this could work.
Cheers, ~Ralph
