I talked to Christoph Burandt (burandt at ikp.tu-darmstadt.de or 
c.burandt at gsi.de), who is one of the co-authors of tudsocketcan. He 
mentioned that one of the reasons, why it is not publicly available, is 
that they never got around to asking you (Ralph) for permission.

So, I think, if you agree that it can be made available, then there is 
nothing in the way of doing so.

So, please contact Christoph and discuss =)
