EPICS Tools and Services codeathon track

Hello everyone,

The hybrid EPICS Codeathon at SLAC in May will have 3 parallel tracks: EPICS Core (C/C++), Java Extensions, and Python Extensions. Over the last few weeks we have put together a list of projects for the java/EPICS services session of the upcoming EPICS Codeathon.

We are still looking for both new request/ideas and volunteers. We are preparing a variety for standalone projects suitable for various skill levels covering a range of topics and technologies: 

• Phoebus and CS-Studio development (java/javafx)
• upgrades in middle layer EPICS services (noSQL elastic backend and REST services development)
• reimplementation of recceiver and ca library(network programing)
