Hello,

(2nd attempt to get email published through tech-talk. Apologies if you have already received this message once before…)

We currently have several open posts at Diamond Light Source, located in sunny Oxfordshire in the UK. These are exciting opportunities for early/mid-level career engineers and scientists, interested in working with (EPICS) Controls Systems and other software development in support of Diamond’s photon beamlines.

The Software Systems Engineer roles are within the Beamline Controls Group and will primarily be working with EPICS Controls Systems. https://vacancies.diamond.ac.uk/vacancy/software-systems-engineer-493971.html

The Graduate Software Engineer roles are permanent roles for engineers and scientists that have recently graduated or expect to do so within the next year. Successful candidates will start out with a two-year training programme across Diamond’s Scientific Software, Controls and Computation (SSCC) department which includes the Beamline and Accelerator Controls groups alongside several other software and IT groups. https://vacancies.diamond.ac.uk/vacancy/graduate-software-engineer-494021.html

Feel free to contact me if you’re interested in learning more about these.

Cheers,

Ulrik
