Hi Abdalla,

when the company was still called OceanOptics they had a free Linux SDK called 
SeaBreeze, which is still available on Github. I had success using this with 
the old OceanOptics spectrometers. But I don't know if it still works with the 
current firmware. The Hardware has basically not changed I think.
You could download the SDK and use the example programs to test if it still 
works. If yes, I can put some more effort in contributing the code I wrote in 
~2018 to areaDetector.
