Dear epics tech-talk,

I want to ask you 1 question about the EPICS CSS, motor setup part. I read all the EPICS CSS Manuals, but I couldnt understand about it well, so I sent you an email.

Im testing setting up the motor stage with CSS opi. The motor on the motor stage is a 5 phase motor and it have rotary encoder.

When connecting the motor and limit line to the interface unit, it was confirmed that it moved as well as desired mm, and when the hard limit was applied, I chekced that it appeared on the CSS.

But the problem is the encoder and the home part.

1.    Even though the encoder line is connected to the interface unit, it automatically changes to No when I click the Use Ecoder Yes button as shown in the attached word file photo1.

2.    I understand that CSS opi becomes 1 when the home sensor on the stage is pressed, and 0 if not pressed. However, if you look at the attached world file photo2, the home part is 1.(The stage is currently not pressed by the home sensor..)

Do you happen to know any problems with this or ways to solve it?

Thanks&Best Regrads,

HolyeongBaeg.
