SMART Embedded
now seem to be part of
Penguin Solutions, who list the MVME250x, MVME3100 and MVME5500 (but not the MVME6100) on their
VME products page. They also have a Legacy Products page (with a picture that looks like an MVME6100 on it) which links to a company called
GDCA for obtaining older parts. There are lots of MVME devices listed by GDCA, but I'm going to guess they won't be cheap or quick to buy from GDCA.
I don't see anything on the Penguin Solutions VME webpage about any end-of-life notices, but that doesn't mean that Kazuro's information is wrong. The TSI-148 (Tempe) chip could be the component with limited availability, and that would explain why they'd stop
selling all of their remaining MVME CPUs.

Hello Kazuro,
I thought that referred mainly to the MVME6100?
I strongly hope that e.g. the MVME2500 will still be available.

Dear colleagues,
I've just received information from our vender of SMART Embedded
Computing that all of MVME products will be discontinued before
Dec.2024 because of the component availability, and the last order will
be closed before Mar.2024. Like many of you, we still depend on many
MVME5500s and are not ready to migrate even though their performance
is not optimum now.
Regards,
Kazuro
