True, but I don't know why the delay helps and don't have a lot of spare time to work on something that only affects the edit mode of MEDM. If someone wants to suggest a proper fix, then I am willing to test it and update the official release. Maybe over the holiday break I can look into this further.

Wouldn't it be better to actually understand the problem instead of
committing workarounds that add delays?  I think this should have a
source code comment saying why the delay is there.  Also, the commit
message has no indication of why the delay is needed.
