Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System

Greetings all!
At Fermilab, we are going full PVXS and multicast and turning off CA, though
we haven't pulled the trigger quite yet. However, we also use SNL extensively.
I learned at a recent core meeting that SNL does not support PVA. This, clearly,
will be a problem for us.
We are evaluating various sequencing schemes, but I'm still a fan of building
some into the IOC. My questions to the community are:
- For those migrating to PVA, is there value in updating the existing SNL code to use PVA?
- Are there good reasons to abandon SNL and not bother to modify it?
Thank you,
Pierrick
