Hello,

A reminder that the Spring 2025 EPICS Collaboration Meeting will be held at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory in the UK from Monday 7 April to Friday 11 April. Details are available at our website, including a provisional schedule for workshops and training sessions to be held on Thursday 10 and Friday 11 April. We won’t be able to provide a schedule for the plenary sessions (Monday 7 to Wednesday 9 April) until after the close of the call for abstracts.

The Collaboration Meeting has the following deadlines coming up:

  • Tuesday 25 March   – last day to book the conference banquet at St Hilda’s College, Oxford
  • Friday 28 March       – registrations close
  • Monday 31 March   – call for abstracts close

To aid us in planning the Collaboration Meeting please complete the post-registration form you should have received by email as soon as possible. Note that the deadline for conference hotel bookings has now passed.

At this time we have had 144 registrations but only 20 abstracts have been submitted. If you are planning on giving a presentation – either a standard talk of 15 mins with 5 mins of questions, or a lightning talk of 5 mins without questions – then please do submit an abstract.

If attendees have any interest in holding breakout groups or special interest sessions then there will be conference rooms available. For example, we are planning on exploring whether there is community interest in a discussion of pvAccess and non-core languages (e.g. Python and LabVIEW). Please let us know in advance or at the Meeting, if you would like us to canvass interest in such discussions.

Thank you and we look forward to seeing you soon,

Ivan Finch
