Dear Ian,

I have it working in compatibilty mode - but I have never got
compatibility mode to work redirecting displays. Thus displaying to an
Xterm will not work, for example.

What I needed to do was:

1. Remove all :remmenu commands from the *.rc files in ~p3/wcs/lib

2. Ensure you have the X11 nls files and have XNLSPATH defined so that
   they point at them

(Both of these have to be done for SunOS 4.1.3 as well).

Having said that, I don't think the Motif version is useable as yet.
The fast key shortcuts aren't implemented for examples, and the old
menus seem strange under Motif.

I am experimenting with using the MS-windows Capfast menus under Motif.
If you want, I can let you know how I get on.
