PLEASE DO NOT DEPEND ON THE DATE FOR THIS PURPOSE!!!!!!!!!!!

Use the release tag when checking out something that is supposed to
represent a release!  On any given day there may be commits before and
after a release is built.  Using the date tag will not always take care
of this problem.
