Has anyone managed to port the vxWorks side of EPICS to a non-68K target? We
(CFHT) are looking at using a Sparc target for our Telescope Control System
upgrade.
We don't think that alignment, endian problems, or floating point formats will
be any problems but are somewhat concerned about side-effects due to
instructions that were atomic on a CISC cpu that aren't on a RISC machine.
In any advent, I will be attempting a first build of this week of R3.12.1
(=Beta13) for a Sparc target and hp700 host.
Aloha,
Peregrine
