Projects and new developments

I am trying to write about the distributed development that we do in
this collaboration. As I am writing - it occurs to me that
1) I am no longer aware of all of the programs using EPICS
2) There are a great number of developments I know nothing about
3) I have never had to decide to use EPICS - so my knowledge of the
difficulties and trade-offs is not from direct experience.

If you have started (or stopped) using (or evaluating) EPICS over
the last 16 months - could you -
1) tell me the project that will use (not use) EPICS
2) list any developments that you are doing (or need to)
3) what the trade-offs were
4) largest frustration
5) most pleasant surprise

If you have not been active at the collaboration meetings - but are on the
exploder - could you answer the above 5 questions as well?
