IDL strip-chart tool announcement

Dear all,

  I have been working on an IDL strip-chart tool layered on top of Mark
Rivers' ezcaIDL. It has roughly the same functionality as the Motif
stripTool (somewhat less at present, since I have not yet implemented
hard-copy).

  Interested people can FTP an initial version [12kB] from:

ftp://ftp.keck.hawaii.edu/pub/epics/stripIDL.tar.Z

  The documentation is somewhat lacking but there are reasonable notes
in the header of the strip.pro file.

  Any feedback will be gratefully received.

PS, I made minor changes to ezcaIDLWidgets.pro to improve error handling.
    I have passed them on to Mark. Without them, stripIDL will still work
    but will not report use of illegal PV names.
