Nope, you must have Sun's ANSI C compiler to build under Solaris. I gave up on
trying to build EPICS with gcc many months ago, there were just so many little
problems/inconsistencies.
Other than that you need GNU Make (3.71 or later according to the Source/Release
Control documentation), and vxWorks of course. This is the minimum requirement
and will give you base and the basic extensions.
