Mark,
I am surprised that Rockwell Software sold you the APS programming
package. Allen Bradley bought ICOM Inc. last year and renamed their software
operations to Rockwell Software. More recently they are trying to
convert their customers to use the ICOM programming packages (PLC-500 A.I.
series Ladder Logistics for the SLC500 series PLCs). We just upgraded our
APS package to the PLC-500 Ladder Logistics (there is an RSI upgrade program)
and the package looks and feels identical to the Series 5
Ladder Logistics which we have been using for Allen Bradley's PLC5 Series
PLCs for the past 6 years. The A.I. Series Ladder Logistics package is imho
a better package, the menu structure is much more consistent etc.
For the PLC5s there exists also a Windows based version (WinLogic5), I don't
know if this exists for the SLC500 PLCs yet.
