posting, just so we're all sure what you mean:

Is that amazed (this is an excellent, flexible, all-encompassing build
system), amazed (bewildered - I don't understand how this magic works) or
amazed (what a load of junk, it would be much simpler/better to ...)?

I can also see two meanings here - are you suggesting the build system
needs changing and you want opinions on what it should be like, or does
"how this process ought to work" refer to the collaboration and how we all
interact with each other?
