We are also looking for such a tool. It will be too expensive to wait
for error checking during db downloading time. Before this tool becomes
available, one simple (but not good enough) method is to use GNU make
dependency rules to tie the .dbd file with .db file so that the .db file
will be forced to be generated once .dbd file has been touched.
