Hello,

 Two years ago we have received from CEBAF an Epics application that was
running on a SY406 CAEN mainframe. Since for our purposes, BABAR, we
planned to use SY527/SY517 we took this code and modified it for the SY527.
 Since all this software  was written back in 1995 a lot of things was not 
there especially SY527 features ( Caen hardware groups, additional commands
etc), while we had to adapted also to take care of the High Speed Caenet. 
Lately we have also added two new Caen records (in total you have Ai, Ao, 
Bi, Bo, Mbbi ). 
 Actually the code for the SY527 has being running for the last 1 year 
here in our lab, driving 6 SY527 mainframes with a single 
V288 (some minor work could be done to dribe 2 V288). In total 800 High 
Voltage channels. 
The SY127 will be tested at LBL/USA since we have no hardware to test it.
