Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System
I've been running medm 2.2.9 from a Linux 4.1 pc for some months
now. It works well for nearly a day and then dies. After much trial
and tribulation, I have found no reason. My guess at this moment is
that there is a "memory leak" in medm. I think that because: 1)It
seems to run for different amounts of time with different amounts of
memory installed. 2) It sometimes reports "out of memory for medm"
in /var/log/messages. 3) Linux and X continue to run. In fact, to
get around this problem, I have a cron task that checks up on medm
and restarts it when it dies... and it works.
Has anyone else experienced this or can anyone offer a suggestion?
Thanks.
