A distribution of the Hideos source files that contain the fixes Mark
mentioned are available from the Hideos distribution web page. Look for
it under the "HiDEOS Source" section on
www.aps.anl.gov/asd/controls/hideos.
These fixes are only compatible with the Hideos version distributed from
May 97.
Even with these fixes we have still been able to crash Hideos under very
heavy simulated traffic. This is one of the reasons Marty Kraimer took
up the effort to port the Hideos drivers to VxWorks.
