The latest development and nonetheless current productional version of
medm-2.4 at BESSY is now available for the epics-community.

New features/fixes in medm.2.4.10

 * load faceplates as related displays
 * faceplates may now be called via command-line
 * EPICS_DISPLAY_PATH is now searched for faceplates
 * added EPICS_DISPLAY_PATH-Button/Menu to (almost) all
   FileSelectionDialogs. Colon separated EPICS_DISPLAY_PATHs are available
   as a popup-menu
 * changed order in default-popup menu ("Close display" is now first entry)
 * should now really work with any color-depth (tested with 8, 16 and 32 bpp)
 * avoid connecting to channels "" in even more widgets
 * changed online-help to the same as in medm 2.3.3
 * default macros DISPLAY, HOST and USER are set on startup
 * fixed bug with sensitivity-PV (occured when copying objects)
 * fixed several typos in strings
 * pulldown-menus are now enabled when started in edit-mode with adl-file
   as argument
 * "Do you really want to Exit?" is now optional (at compile-time)

Work in progress at BESSY currently aims to: 

 * Fix the known bugs e.g. in faceplate tool, stripchart, drag and drop
   functionality
 * Integrate the EXECUTE functionalities of medm 2.3.3
 * Get the documentation into sync

... some of which is already implemented/done.
