re.. When I type "pf 0" I get "f0"
It sounds like you have the parity or bit count wrong
on the serial connection to the 162. Make sure you
the workstations serial port is set for 8bits, no parity.
re.. switching to 4800
If you have a 162-5xx board this should not be necessary.
It can handle a 9600 baud download.
re..isn't there a way to dump it from one 162 to another?
