Subject: Collaboration Meeting at SLAC in May
From: [email protected] (Bob Dalesio)
Date: Thu, 22 Apr 1999 07:09:49 -0600
The agenda is starting to firm up. We have put some default times
on talks on the agenda page at SLAC. Please check to see if you
are given an appropriate amount of time for the topic. If you
need more (or less) please let me know. A good estimate is 1 minute
for a very sparse slide, 3 minutes for something that is dense.
If you are talking about GUIs, allow 5 minutes for opinions from
the audience.

Please check to see if youa re giving a talk that you did not know
about. (Joan Sage - this includes you)

The training on Monday will be changed to be roughly organized as
beginner training in the AM and more advanced training in the afternoon.
In the morning the standard fair will be offered as talks. In the
afternoon, we will offer - writing a portable server application,
writing a CA client, advanced database topics and one other tbd.

There are two workshop topics listed for Friday -
in the am we will go through channel access V4 goals and API. This
topic will be presented by Jeff Hill and is intended to collect some
feedback on the goals and API.

The afternoon session is to cover User Interfaces (for the future) and
should be a set of presentations that include folks from several groups
with several approaches. I would like to know if there are any interested
in joining this group? Please contact me (John, Thomas, Deb, Kay, and
any others that feel that they would make a positive contribution to this
discussion).

	Hope to see you there
	Bob
