Re: group valuator
Jefferson Lab wrote an application which does group operations,
but not an MEDM widget. We started but never completely
finished (due to ambiguous requirements) a cdev service which
acted as a virtual channel, which could then be hooked up
to any MEDM widget using the CDEV version of MEDM
(which works well). The virtual device was defined via files
conceptually similar to SLACS multi-knobs. We only got
as far as linear scaling, though.
It would not be too much effort to finish this once good
requirements existed, but I can't fund it out of my cdev
support budget, so it has to be a new request internally
at Jlab, or else I'll provide advice/tech support for anyone
anywhere who'd like to do this.
