We have written EPICS support for such a module. It is a model 556 AIM from
Canberra. This is an Ethernet multi-channel analyzer which is used together
with one of their ADCs. We typically use it for spectroscopy applications,
measuring the pulse-height spectrum of an energy-dispersive detector (Si(Li)
or Ge).
