We are working on a similar project. For a deviceNet interface we're
using the "DeviceNET-IP" IP card from Greenspring. The first device
we've got to get going is an AB 1747-SDN scannerwhich is supposed to
enable us to "talk to" an AB PLC.
We're not quite as far along as you are - we got blindsided by the
configuration of the scanner as provided by the vendor of the system,
and then the system (power supply for a superconducting magnet) got
shipped off to the magnet vendor.
Perhaps we can work out the details of the epics interface together.
