Eric,

My understanding from the release notes is that R3.14 has been
tested on Redhat x86 IOCs. Who did this work?

In any case we are just starting our dresign and trade studies
work - the real construction effort with the exception of support
for an adaptive optics & interferometry testbed won't start for
anothe year. Even the real testbed controls don't need to around
until the spring of 2001.

In response to your question about devices - we are starting with
a simple RS-232 based command and response system. Many of our
collaborators are familiar with Linux so that's our first choice
for starters but we certainly won't use it for the harder real-time
systems.

Aloha,
	Peregrine
