We're just starting to look at Linux. One of the first things we've done is just set DISPLAY to the linux box and try the various tools from Solaris.
StripTool, DM2K, GDCT work fine.
Both DM and EDD fail to start, complaining that they can't allocate blinking colors. I haven't seen this before, even on other systems which don't display blinking colors.
Is there some magic incantation involved here?
