We have been using TCL/TK (et_wish) for our system GUI, and have
generally been very pleased with it. I do have a few questions
that I would like to throw out to the group:
1. we are using a version in which etca.c is dated 10-9-95. Is there
anything newer than this?
2. we are still running TCL version 7.6, and TK version 4.2. Has
anyone moved on to version 8? Any problems moving up? Was there
any noticable performance improvement?
3. I am trying (yet again) to get data into TCL from a waveform
record. I haven't been able to get the pv vdef, vset, and vdis
calls to do anything useful. Could someone give me a clue on
how to go about this?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Bill
