Eric,
I am using the VMIC 5532 VMEbus Link Repeater. There is no
software required, only jumpers on the (optic) transmit and
receive boards. They add 4 microseconds per transfer for
single transfers. This might be lower (per xfer) for a
block transfer.
I don't use VMEbus interrupts on the remote crate, but I do
recall something about remote interrupts not being fully
supported.
Don't know about VME64, but they have datasheets on their
website.
